Megacerops was a massive creature, standing over seven feet high and weighing over 8,000 pounds. These creatures were a genus of odd-toed ungulates related to rhinos and zebras. Like its rhinoceros relatives, Megacerops sported a pair of large, blunt horns, believed to be used for wrestling rival mates.
These giant animals lived in North America during the Late Eocene Period, going extinct around 33.9 million years ago. They were the last living Brontotheres on the planet. Their impressive skeletons have left quite a mark on the fossil record, being one of the best-represented mammal genera.

These new specimens are fragments of fossil bone from a Megacerops recovered on private land in the Chadron Formation of South Dakota. They date to the Late Eocene, over 34 million years ago.
The fossils are available both as display case items and showcase pieces, photographed and listed individually by size. These new mega-mammals are here just in time for a sweet Father's Day gift!

🛡️ Chain Mail Bracelet ⚔️
|
|
Restocked for Father's Day! This bracelet features three rings of 15th-century CE chain mail. This period is considered the sunset of chain mail in Europe, as advanced plate armor completely supplanted mail.
Crafted at Mini Museum, the authentic chain mail rings are interspersed with gunmetal-plated brass rings, a chain of the same material, and copper end caps. It's a bracelet fit for a king!

When the USS Constitution triumphed over the HMS Guerriere during the War of 1812, the battleship became an icon of the US Navy and was beloved by the citizens of the young nation. During the battle, cannonballs seemed to glance off the side of the ship, earning the Constitution its nickname: Old Ironsides.
This specimen is a piece of wood from Old Ironsides, recovered during restoration efforts in the 1920s. Hit the button to check it out!
