QUICK TIP

Turn image stabilization off when shooting on a tripod. This applies to both your lens switch and your camera body's IBIS setting separately. On a stable platform, IS systems look for movement to correct and finding none, they sometimes introduce the very micro-movement you are trying to eliminate. It is one of those settings that helps everywhere except exactly where most people leave it on.
