Wednesday Night Live · Tonight, 8:30 Eastern
Sleep is the most active thing you do all day.
I’m going to tell you something your doctor has never told you.
And once you hear it, you’re going to be a little angry.
Not at me. At the years you spent blaming yourself.
Here it is:
If you are not sleeping properly — and most people aren’t — your hormones are resetting wrong every single night.
Ghrelin — the hunger hormone — wakes up high instead of suppressed. So you’re ravenous before you’ve even had breakfast.
GLP-1 — the signal that tells your brain you’re full — fires weakly and at the wrong times. So you eat and eat and never quite feel satisfied.
Insulin sensitivity drops. Growth hormone doesn’t get released. The brain’s waste clearance system — yes, your brain has one — never gets to complete its work.
And you wake up the next morning wondering why you have no willpower.
You don’t have a willpower problem.
You have a sleep problem.
This Wednesday night I’m doing a live class on exactly this.
