Hi there,
People ask why the company is called Miracle Noodle. Here is the honest answer.
Konjac is a root vegetable that has been eaten in Japan for centuries, and it is made almost entirely of a soluble fiber called glucomannan. That fiber is one of the most well studied in the world.
Most ingredients get examined for one thing. This one has been looked at from many directions at once — satiety, weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, the gut microbiome. Breadth like that around a single ingredient is unusual. It is a genuinely multi benefit fiber rather than a one-note one.
That is the reason for the name.
I am not going to tell you what it will do for you. Nobody honest can. What I can tell you is what is in the bag: konjac and water. A serving is five to ten calories and 1g net carb, with no wheat, no flour and no grain in it.
The prep takes two minutes. Open the pouch, rinse under cold water for ninety seconds, then give it a minute in a hot dry pan before the sauce goes in. That dry minute is what gives it the bite. It takes on whatever sauce you bring, which is really the point of it. It is a base, not a flavor.
The konjac shapes are right here if you would like to put one in front of you this week.
Good health,
Jonathan Carp, MD Founder, Miracle Noodle
P.S. Angel hair is the one most people start with. Thinnest strand, takes a sauce fastest.
