"The lume is amazing for a watch in this category. It is BGW9 and has an icy blue glow... Additionally the prismatic effect of the beveled glass (sapphire) actually refracts the lume at the cardinal points of the watch. Making it very easy to orient and read in the dark. Serendipity. This watch needs more exposure. Momentum caters to more utilitarian field and diver watches and that is good. I dare say they went out on a limb with this one. I dare say I like it. I like it a lot."

Staff Picks: Steelix Eclipse

I find there is something really special about the idea of a solar watch. You get the accuracy of quartz, with the ability for it to be virtually self-powered, like an automatic.

The 4 o'clock crown of the Steelix makes it infinitely more wearable than your average 44mm watch, but still retains a solid feel. The dial is also very legible, with big numbers and lots of contrast. Personally, I think it looks great on a Nappa leather band.
