Today, MoveOn is making an important announcement.

Dear MoveOn member,

Here's something we don't say enough: Where you live does not decide how much power you have.

Maybe you live in a deep-blue state. Maybe you live in a deep-red one. Either way, you've probably watched close elections happen somewhere else and felt like there was nothing you could do but watch.

That ends now. Today, MoveOn is making an important announcement: We’re launching our first-ever Adopt-A-District program. Tens of thousands of MoveOn members who don’t live in an area where federal elections are ever close or contested can now "adopt" a district somewhere that will be. You'll get plugged directly into a real, winnable race, one where a progressive candidate has an actual shot to flip a seat or hold one that MAGA Republicans are trying to take. Your energy, your voice, and your dollars go straight to the places where they'll matter most.

This isn't a consolation prize for living in the "wrong" state. It's a way to multiply your power. Instead of one vote in a race that's already decided, you become part of the organizing muscle behind one of the closest and most important elections in the country.

But the same billionaires who are buying up our elections aren't waiting for November. They're already spending a record amount to lock down every seat they can, before most voters are even paying attention. Can you chip in $5 a month to power our Adopt-A-District program? Your support will go directly to a district that needs it right now.

Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month. (If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.)

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Let's be honest about where things stand in our country. A small number of billionaires now control more wealth than most of the country combined. They're buying elections, buying media, and buying influence like never before.

Donald Trump has spent his time in office enriching himself and his family while everyday families fall further behind. Costs keep climbing. Healthcare keeps getting harder to afford. And regular people keep getting told there's nothing to be done about it.

Last week, we saw proof of what's possible when people show up. In Michigan, populist progressive candidate Dr. Abdul El-Sayed won a hard-fought Senate primary. Super PACs tied to corporate interests and AIPAC spent more than $70 million trying to stop him.1 He won anyway. Voters didn't get tricked by the ads. They showed up for a candidate who told the truth about who's really in charge of this country, and who they're hurting.

El-Sayed's win isn't a fluke. In Pennsylvania, progressive champion Chris Rabb beat the establishment's pick by more than 20 points to win his primary. In Colorado, Melat Kiros, a 29-year-old first-time candidate, unseated a 30-year incumbent by nearly 10 points.2 Over and over, all across the country, progressive candidates who are serious about delivering for working people and fighting against the corrupt, rigged system are winning. That's the result of people deciding to get involved even when the odds seemed long.

We have less than three months until Election Day. That is not a lot of time, but it is enough, if enough of us act now.

You don't need to live in a battleground to be part of one. Chip in $5 a month to power MoveOn's Adopt-A-District program. Help us connect tens of thousands of activists to the places that need them most.

Let's finish what Michigan started.

Thanks for all you do.

–Joel, Saskia, Allison K., Esteban, and the rest of the team

P.S. One donation to one campaign is a drop in the bucket. A donation routed through Adopt-A-District is targeted where it counts. Chip in $5 a month and make sure your support lands where it'll actually help move a race.

Want to support MoveOn's work? As millions of us continue to march, protest, and take care of our neighbors, we must also organize to make the 2026 midterms a landslide rejection of Trump and MAGA Republicans. MoveOn is planning the most sophisticated midterm election program in our 28-year history—designed to turn out voters at a scale that overcomes Republican voter suppression. Will you chip in to power a progressive wave in November’s election?
