How can Congress still stop a Pentagon-IDF partnership? Let us explain:

At this point, we likely don’t need to tell you about the risks of a “U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative” — the plan to effectively fuse the U.S. and Israeli militaries that’s buried within this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

What you need to know is that there’s still a narrow path to stop a dangerous Pentagon-IDF partnership. Here’s the state of play:

The House barely passed its version of the NDAA, separated by just four votes, and a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate has stopped its version in its tracks for now. The next critical juncture will likely be during conference, when lawmakers from both chambers reconcile the differences in each of their versions of the NDAA. Then, the final package will get full votes on the House and Senate floor — our last opportunity to defeat this insidious provision for good.

It means there's a crucial — but narrow — runway of time for us to work in lockstep with champions who oppose this effort and get other lawmakers to join them. Until that final vote, we aren’t slowing down one second in our work to keep building on the progress we’ve already made and amass the opposition we need to stop a deeper U.S.-Israeli military partnership from becoming a reality.

That work continues today, and we need you with us. Demand your senators and representative vote NO on the NDAA and reject a dangerous Pentagon-IDF partnership.

A plan to deepen ties with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) while degrading transparency is a recipe for impunity.

But less accountability is exactly what the weapons contractors, powerful special interest groups, and Israeli PM Netanyahu himself are pushing for. And they could get their way if Congress passes this plan to inextricably link the U.S. and Israeli military industrial complexes through the NDAA.

Let’s be clear: More Americans than ever before believe the U.S. is too supportive of the Israeli government — one that is still committing genocide in Gaza, has dropped thousands of bombs on Lebanon, and is accelerating an illegal land grab in the West Bank.

Together, we’ll make sure that lawmakers can’t ignore that majority. Up until the final votes are cast, we are going to put lawmakers on notice. It starts with the 216 Reps. — including six key Democrats — who allowed the House’s version of the NDAA to advance. And it doesn’t end there.

We need to make sure every lawmaker, including those who are with us, understands where their constituents fall on this issue.

Help stop an arrangement that would give the Israeli military unprecedented leverage over the Pentagon’s priorities by joining our call-to-action today. Demand your members of Congress stop a U.S.-Israeli military partnership by rejecting the NDAA.
