No lawmaker who helped pass historic WPRs should vote to authorize another dime for war

Something just happened that’s never happened before: Congress passed a concurrent war powers resolution to withdraw U.S. forces from hostilities.

It’s a historic rebuke of a deeply unpopular war. But Congress’ job isn’t done with this Senate vote, especially now as Trump and Hegseth are reportedly demanding $67 billion to cover the costs of their disastrous, illegal war on Iran.

That means more of your taxpayer dollars to pay for violence that killed over 7,000 people — bombs like the one that killed 168 people at a girls school in Iran — and left the world more dangerous and worse off economically than before.

Early on, the Trump administration understood an Iran war supplemental request would be a hard sell. Early estimates indicated Hegseth would demand as much as $200 billion.

But Win Without War and activists like you quickly spoke out to make the idea a nonstarter, and we’re not letting up.

We say not one dime for this unnecessary, unjustifiable war. We won’t let Congress plow more of our taxpayer dollars toward Trump and Hegseth’s warmongering.

As criticism mounts across partisan lines over Trump’s disastrous foreign policy, it’s time to send them a loud and clear reminder that there are consequences for illegal war.
