Six months of war is six months too many

Over six months ago, we awoke to horrifying news of a new war as Trump joined Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in striking targets across Iran.

A U.S. Tomahawk missile had already hit Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, where frantic parents were racing to save or recover their children. More than 150 people were killed — some as young as six. Thousands more have died since the bombs began to fall. Tens of thousands more have been wounded. Tens of billions of dollars wasted.

What was true on February 28 remains true today: Trump began this war with no clear objective, no congressional authorization, and no end in sight.

As lawmakers return to Washington, they’ll face a stack of votes that can turn the tide: the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), appropriations bills, supplemental requests, reconciliation vehicles. They each amount to one crucial choice: fund Trump and Hegseth's violence, or end the war.

Six months of suffering must be more than another grim data point. It has to be the moment Congress renews the debate and takes the votes that can end Trump’s illegal war for good. Let’s remind them who they work for.

Join us to send Congress an urgent reminder that the anti-war majority — the majority of Americans — want this war to END. Sign now.

People are confronted with the consequences of Trump’s unwanted war every day. Millions — Iranians, Israelis, Lebanese, military families, and countless others — have gone to bed 181 times not knowing if bombs would fall before morning.

Halfway around the world, Sri Lankans have been forced to ration fuel. Here at home, the war has left families scrambling in the face of higher costs of basic goods, with every household paying $1,000 more — and counting.[1]

It’ll get worse if the Trump administration moves forward with a devastating sanctions plan Treasury Secretary Bessent himself thinks could ‘blow up the global financial system.’[2]

Six months of war is six months too many.

Poll after poll shows that the public is outraged at the war and Trump’s corrupt, short-sighted tradeoffs.

Regardless of whether your members of Congress are anti-war champions, on the fence, or seem hellbent on greenlighting more bombs and bloodshed, they need to hear a loud and clear reminder that people across the country are demanding this war end.

Lawmakers have listened to us when we’ve gotten loud before. Our voices got us a first-of-its-kind war powers resolution in June. Our voices are throwing “must-pass” Pentagon budgets into question right now.

Our voices can help end the suffering and end this war. Click here to tell your lawmakers to REJECT funding for Trump’s warmongering.

Thank you for working for peace,
