Families are crying out for healthcare, safe communities, and education. The House responded by greenlighting $1.15 trillion for the Pentagon.

As prices rise and an illegal endless war unfolds, plowing MORE taxpayer dollars toward Trump’s violence is unconscionable.

Unprecedented bipartisan opposition pushed the National Defense Authorization Act, which usually passes without issue, down to a four-vote margin. 216 Representatives — 209 Republicans, 6 Democrats, and 1 Independent — voted “YES.”

We, the people, will hold them to account. Outrage is already brewing, and with more critical votes ahead on more funding for weapons and war, it's urgent that constituents like you remind these lawmakers that they got this vote wrong — and that you demand better.

Not another dime for Trump’s warmongering! Tell the 216 Reps who helped pass the NDAA to stop footing the bill for bombs and bloodshed.

Passing the NDAA was more than just a trillion-dollar Pentagon plus-up.

It meant advancing the SAVE Act, Trump’s craven voter suppression bill that House Republicans merged into the NDAA using an underhanded late-stage procedural trick.

It also moved us closer toward giving the Israeli military unprecedented leverage over the Pentagon’s priorities — at a moment when more Americans than ever before believe the U.S. is too supportive of the Israeli government.

That’s why this is no time to stay silent. Every time we pressure our members of Congress, we’re showing up for our values, reminding them we’re paying attention, and holding them accountable. It’s work we must do because Trump’s war budget is far from a done deal.

Right now, key pieces of Trump’s $1.5 trillion Pentagon budget request PLUS supplemental funding to cover the costs of his disastrous Iran war remain in play — including bills that appropriate the money that this NDAA would authorize. Accountability can go a long way to making sure that Trump can’t collect.

No matter what district you live in, you can play a role in helping build vocal opposition to last week’s NDAA vote — opposition that lawmakers will be unable to ignore — and remind them people don’t want their taxpayer dollars funding more violence.

Hold the 216 Reps who helped pass the NDAA accountable for pushing more taxpayer dollars towards weapons and war by demanding they refuse one more dime for the Pentagon.
