Progressive candidates are winning primaries over corporate-backed pro-war opponents! Brad Lander’s victory in New York last night is the latest in a string of victories for bold fighters who are working to deliver the real change we need and make things more affordable.
And we’re not done yet. Sign up now to volunteer this summer for more champions going up against corporations’ millions, including Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan.
This is how we win in 2026: by electing fearless visionary leaders who will inspire voters to come back to the Democratic Party. Nineteen million Democrats who voted in 2020 decided to stay home in 2024 because they were disappointed with the party and skeptical that anything would change.
Here are some of the changemakers who have already won their primaries:
- Brad Lander, NY-10: Endorsed by Mayor Mamdani and Senator Bernie Sanders, Brad was arrested defending immigrants while escorting them to their court hearing and opposes endless wars.

Chris Rabb, PA-03: As a Democratic Socialist, Rabb advocates for Medicare for All, Universal Basic Income, and peace as a policy to make sure we’re able to provide for everyone, no exceptions.

Randy Villegas, CA-22: Randy became the first in his family to earn a Ph.D., and he’s used his education to empower others—as a college professor, mentor, and community organizer. He’ll fight for universal childcare, lowering prices, and ending political corruption.
But we’re not out of the woods yet. AIPAC has already promised to spend $2 million in the Michigan Senate primary alone.1 And they and other war hawks have millions more waiting in their coffers to try to defeat populist candidates.

Our playbook is working: We’re connecting with voters on issues that matter to them with inspiring progressive candidates who will deliver results. Theirs is failing, wasting millions propping up moderates with empty promises.
