"Happy Juneteenth, Muehleder Family,
As I sit down to write this, I find myself thinking about the women who've molded me, the ones whose courage, resilience, and determination made it possible for me to build a business, pursue my creativity, and share it with all of you.
I was born to a Nigerian mother and came to Brooklyn as a child with big dreams and very little understanding of where those dreams would take me. Fashion became my language. It became the way I expressed myself, told stories, and imagined new possibilities.
When I started Muehleder, I didn't have investors, a roadmap, or guarantees. What I had was a vision, a willingness to work, and a community of amazing black women who continued to pour into me. From my pattern making professor, Ms. Medina, to the first woman who said yes to stocking Muehleder in her boutique at Kings Plaza Mall.
Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, a day to honor the generations whose sacrifices opened doors for women like me to dream bigger than what once seemed possible and also a reminder that we are so much stronger united and being of service to one another.
As a Black woman founder, I don't take that opportunity lightly.
Every order placed, every photo shared, every message of support helps sustain an independent Black-owned business and allows us to continue creating from a place of authenticity, creativity, and purpose. For that, I am deeply grateful.
Today, I hope you take a moment to celebrate Black culture, Black creativity, Black entrepreneurship, and the communities that continue to inspire change and move us forward.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
With love and gratitude,
