Week in Review #59: Ready for SummerA summer sale I never miss, two summer looks from Sézane, the first peek at my June moodboard, and what I’m reading right now.
Hey! I’m working on getting back into the Week in Review series after taking a little break from this format. I think I got caught up in Substack posts feeling “sharable” and more like blog posts, forgetting that the core reason I started my Substack was to replace my email newsletter, and I think it’s nice to have an easy and ongoing way to share weekly updates in a very casual way, so here we are. We’ve been very busy over here at the Natalie Borton HQ, gearing up for the biggest sale of the year, the return of the Basket Tote, and an update to our branding and packaging that will be rolling out in the coming months. We also have a fun promo going on with our hats and sunglasses — buy a hat and sunglasses together and save $20 on your order! Keep reading for the thought of the week, a summer sale I never miss, two summer looks from Sézane¹, the first peek at my June moodboard, and what I’m reading right now. Summer is near and I’m ready for it — very much looking forward to travel, time with family, and slower mornings. Thought of the Week
Two summer looks in Sézane
Nothing says summer to me quite like a tonal cream and white outfit. I have a favorite between these two, but I’m curious to know — which do you like better? June MoodboardVery much dreaming of a Nancy Meyers summer — salty air, farmer’s markets, coastal walks, hosting friends, and easy, effortless looks that are impossibly comfortable and chic all at once. A Favorite Summer SaleEvery summer Apiece Apart does a big sale and it’s one of the only annual brand sales I ever pay attention to. I’ve picked out my favorites below for you!
Currently reading, plus next month’s book club pick.I just started Good Joy, Bad Joy, which is a novel about an 80-year-old woman who generally follows the rules in life, but decides to break them after learning her best friend has cancer. I admit I’m taking a big risk reading this one after losing a friend to cancer only a couple of years ago, but I’m really enjoying it so far and I’ve decided to imagine my friend Lauren as the best friend in this book and it’s making me really happy to think about her. Next on my list is our June book club pick, All the Colors of the Dark. I just got a call from the bookstore that they restocked it so I’m picking it up this weekend and diving into it as soon as I finish my other book. Until next time! xx Natalie
