Yesterday we talked about why National Body Armor sells NIJ Certified body armor, and today we want to share why that commitment matters—for both the general public and law enforcement professionals.

Since the day we opened in January 2018, our mission has been simple:

Provide reliable, certified protection that performs when it matters most.

That’s why we have only sold NIJ-certified soft and hard armor from day one.

Sure, we could have gone the easier route and sold non-certified armor. Many companies do. It’s cheaper, faster, and far less regulated. But there are too many documented cases where non-certified armor has failed in catastrophic ways. We refuse to put anyone—civilian or officer—at that kind of risk.

Our owner often says he sleeps well at night knowing the armor we send out will perform in a real moment of need. That peace of mind is something we insist on giving every customer.

As our company grew, we expanded our lineup to serve both communities:

• Our first major release, the VIP Concealable T-Shirt, was immediately embraced by law enforcement for its comfort, concealability, and certified protection.
• We followed with the Everyday Concealable Vest and the Standard LE Tactical Vest, both now commonly worn by officers and the general public across the country.
