I'm Katie, Head of Brand at Nestig.
This summer, we're sharing what a few Nestig families are up to, from welcoming a new baby to wrangling an escape-artist toddler. I'm up first.
I'd been planning to move my one-year-old into her own room when my six-year-old asked if they could share instead. I was skeptical anyone would actually sleep. Here's what we did, and what worked:
Keep it simple. I moved my daughter's 3-in-1 Wave Crib and my son's 2-in-1 Wave Montessori Kids Bed into the new room without overthinking the decor. Luckily, sharing a room makes them feel like the little team they are—and everyone's sleeping better, including me.
Work in stages. Now that I know this layout works, I feel good about investing in paint and decor, since her crib can convert to a toddler bed whenever she's ready.
Secret spots. The Wave Nightstand gives my son a place to stash Lego sets and art projects out of his sister's reach.
Set up a book nook. Their Hug Chair is the perfect reading spot. I ordered a new cover in our Ticking Stripe fabric (I'm obsessed with our yarn-dyed fabrics) to freshen up the room.

Watching them wave hello to each other over the monitor every morning is the sweetest thing. I hope this gives you the confidence/nudge to make your space work for your family and know Nestig pieces will grow with you.
