200 Years of the Railway 🚂
On 27 September 1825, the Stockton and Darlington Railway opened and Locomotion No.1 became the first steam locomotive to carry passengers on a public line. 2025 marks 200 years since that world-changing journey and celebrations have been happening all over the nation to mark this monumental anniversary.
