Hello Friends!
We already know many of the fundamentals of supporting healthy blood pressure.
Exercise matters.
Managing salt intake and eating your veggies matters.
Sleep, hydration, and regular movement all play important roles in supporting circulation.

Sleep, hydration, and regular movement all play important roles in supporting circulation.
We also know that nitric oxide plays a key role. Nitric oxide helps blood vessels relax, supporting healthy blood flow and blood pressure. That’s why ingredients like red spinach and beetroot—found in our VitaSpinach®, RS400®, and Beet Boost®, respectively—are widely used to support healthy circulation and blood pressure as part of an overall lifestyle.
But there’s another influence on blood pressure that many people don’t look at as closely: the role of thoughts. 🤔
Before blood pressure rises, before the body tightens, before circulation feels restricted, something often happens first in the mind. Worry, mental replay, urgency, frustration, or anticipation can quietly activate the nervous system. When these thought patterns repeat throughout the day, the body can remain in a low-grade state of tension for long periods of time.
🙄 Is it possible that thoughts can increase or reduce blood pressure? Clinical research suggests they can. Studies on relaxation and meditation practices—including research from Harvard Medical School on the “relaxation response”—have shown that calming the mind can lead to measurable reductions in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
👀 One simple way to work with this is through a gentle practice of watching thoughts.
Instead of trying to stop thinking, notice thoughts as they arise. If a thought feels stressful or unhelpful, let it pass without getting attached to it.
There’s no need to argue with it or push it away—just allow it to move on. When a calmer or more positive thought appears, stay with it a little longer.
Pair this with slow, deep breathing. Inhale steadily through the nose—nasal breathing is known to naturally increase nitric oxide levels in the airways, supporting healthy blood flow at the same time. Exhale slowly and fully. Even one or two minutes can help the nervous system settle.
🔁 Practiced several times a day, this becomes another daily health habit—just like movement, hydration, or sleep.
We see health as a connected system. Supporting circulation and blood pressure isn’t only about what you put into your body—it’s also about how you relate to your thoughts, moment by moment.
