Dr. Dog announces only show of 2026; to headline AVL Sounds Fest August 6-9

Asheville continues making its mark as a music destination with AVL Sounds Fest, a venue-based festival showcasing the city’s robust venue collective and creative spirit, featuring more than 200 bands on 17 stages this August.

The refreshed 4-day multi-genre gathering returns with a full lineup of 240 artists spanning 17 venues across the city, featuring Dr Dog, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Big Freedia, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Sir Woman, Tyler Ramsey & Carl Broemel (of My Morning Jacket), Grace Bowers, Improvement Movement, and international artists Young Gun Silver Fox.
