Hey Everyone,
New York has a new season now, after High Summer comes Long Summer. We’re not complaining, or at least we aren’t until the externalities bite us in the ass, and hey, it gives us a fifth season to dress for. This long sleeves with shorts weather, pants with sandals weather, a time to break out the layers and getting back into the groove. A time to bring back the Adeepcotton Boxfords and Spraypigs and drop a brand new Doubleknee pants cut in both Bombtwill and its rougher sibling Postdenim.

The Adeepcotton is a simple hard-wearing cotton twill, woven by Albini in Italy, and designed explicitly to soak up lots of color when garment dyed. At 350gsm it’s quite heavy for a shirt weight fabric, but the loose twist yarns and garment dyeing process give it a soft pre-broken-in gentleness that counters its rugged presentation. It’s those thick, loose twist yarns that give it its depth, color soaks deep into the fabric while the twill grooves add subtle shadows to make beautifully rich colors. The Adeepcotton Boxford celebrates the simplicity of the material, while the Adeepcotton Spraypig Boxford adds a whole extra layer of depth. The spray pig process involves hand spraying each garment with pigment, then bounce washing it down to break it in and leave a stochastic layering of color on color that is not for everyone but we find great pleasure in. Both available now in lots of colors.

Long Summer is the start of pants season and we’ve got a brand new pair to get into. The Bombtwill Doubleknees and the Postdenim Doubleknees. You can think of them as jacked-up Bombworks, they come from the same base, just with grittier details and a wider leg opening. Super wide belt loops, stainless steel rivets, patch pockets and yes, two layers of fabric on the front of the leg, a double knee set-up that hides an extra pair of front pockets stacked on top of the trad ones for extra carry options. The Bombtwill is hardcore yet secretly soft. The Postdenim is technically the same stuff, only dyed black, but after years of explaining that black Bombtwill is heavier, crunchier and more structured, we decided it was easiest to give it a new name, because it really does wear differently. Both available now, Olive Territory for the Bombtwill Doubleknees and of course black (and only black) for the Postdenim Doubleknees.
