Hey Everyone,

The cold autumn winds are blowing through New York, that means it’s time to break out the Hard/co Merino and layer it up. This week we have a brand new Ragcrew sweatshirt cut, an Ultrasuede upgrade to the many pocketed Jobjackets, plus new colors of the classic C2Wide hoodie

The Bombtwill Jobjacket and Postdenim Jobjacket are simple shell jackets with loads of vertical pockets. Call it a chore coat, a barn coat, a french workwear jacket, we don’t really care, we call it a jobjacket because it gets the job done. This year we flipped it slightly by adding some Ultrasuede into the mix, at the collar and in the nested left chest pocket. One of the beauties of Ultrasuede is that it’s both super soft and super durable, perfect for collars. It also makes a great glass cleaner, as a pocket it can both store your phone or glasses and clean them at the same time. The bulk of these jackets though is Bombtwill and its sibling Postdenim. Nearly indestructible from wear and tear, with a modest but real weather resistance and subtle but real breathability. We love this stuff as a shell layer fabric because it’s both protective and comfortable enough to wear every day. The Postdenim is simply the black version of Bombtwill, the black dye makes the fabric stiffer and more structured for even more off the body effects. Either way though, these are great jackets.

Hard/co Merino is our long running and beloved sweatshirt fabric with a cotton exterior and merino interior. When we first developed this fabric it was very heavy for sweatshirts, but the trends have passed us, these days it’s only modestly heavy. The Australian Good Earth cotton exterior is dense and tough, giving you that classic protective feeling of a serious hoodie. The inside is soft Australian merino terry loops, with all the upsides of nature’s finest performance fabric. There is one merino feature in particular though that really shines in a sweatshirt form, the fantastic dry body climate that it creates. If you’ve ever wished your favorite cotton hoodie was a bit less clammy, well then, the Hard/co Merino is made for you.

This year we’ve got a brand new crewneck sweatshirt shape, the Hard/co Merino Ragcrew. A wide and just slightly cropped cut with broad raglan shoulders and thick ribbed crew neck. Both the Ragcrew and the classic Hard/co Merino C2Wide hoodie are now scaled for shrinkage, please expect them to shrink around a full size if machine washed and dried. Both are also now available in Black, Silt, Latenight and Psilocybin.
