Hey Friends,
As some long time followers know, we originally launched 8 years ago because of hundreds of requests from some very vocal bag geeks looking for a discontinued bag I had helped design. We decided to re-launch that bag and invited everyone asking for it along for the ride. So, two-way communication and transparency have always been a big part of our brand.
I have been a fan of Reddit, and especially the bag communities, where people take bag and packing geekery to a whole other level. I’ve learned a lot there and also made friends there. So it felt like it was time for Pakt to carve out its own little home there – but I wanted to try and take a different angle with it.
I'm a product designer by training, a gear geek, always on the move, and long been obsessed with both how to carry stuff, and how things are made. Our brand is the intersection of all those things. We’d love to see our new subreddit come alive with conversations with fellow travelers that geek out on these same topics.
We plan to share the behind-the-scenes of a bag brand and bag design studio with anyone that wants to learn more. We welcome you to bring your praise, your complaints, and your questions about any Pakt gear. Bring your packing tips and travel hacks too.
