When Robert was just two years old, he was diagnosed with Morquio syndrome, a rare, progressive genetic disorder. Since then, he has faced countless challenges with extraordinary courage, optimism, and an infectious spirit that continues to inspire everyone who knows him.
Rooting for Robert was founded by Robert’s family—Helen, Bobby, and Anna—to accelerate research and bring hope to families affected by Morquio syndrome. We’re proud to help share their story and support their mission.

Donated by Julian Van Winkle III from our family's personal collection, this remarkable bottle of Van Winkle Family Reserve 16-Year | This is one of only 1,152 bottles, and each label was hand-numbered. The bourbon in this bottle was distilled in 1968 at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery by the Van Winkle family and bottled by Julian Van Winkle III at his Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, bottling plant in December 1984. This exceptional bourbon whiskey was released exclusively to two U.S. distributors, one in Kentucky and one in California, and has consistently commanded five-figure prices at auction houses such as Sotheby’s and Unicorn Auctions in Chicago.
