Hey Milled,

These are some of the very best wines in the Loire. They come from Domaine du Collier, where Antoine Foucault farms more than 17 acres of chenin blanc and cab franc but produces only about 1200 cases a year. Before launching Collier in 1999, Antoine worked with his father and uncle at the legendary Clos Rougeard. At Clos Rougeard, the Foucaults produced the greatest cabernet franc the world has ever seen. Now, Antoine is making similarly elegant, savory cab franc, along with vivid, intensely mineral chenin blanc.

Domaine du Collier’s new release arrives in early July. We’re receiving a case or less of each wine, so we wanted to give you an early look now. Let us know if you have any questions.

At Clos Rougeard, Antoine’s father and uncle opened the world’s eyes to the potential of Brézé, a chalky limestone hillside in Saumur. Antoine continues that legacy at Collier. Pure, salty, and chiseled, only chenin from Brezé tastes like this.
From 100+ year old chenin blanc vines on Brézé, La Charpentrie yields a particularly concentrated, complex, mineral-driven white wine.
This red wine from a tiny plot of cabernet franc is savory and deep but still floral, vibrant, and fresh.
This red is a new addition to Collier’s lineup. Quantities are particularly limited.
A spicy, earthy, beautifully perfumed cab franc from old vines on Brézé.
The top red in the Collier lineup and one of the great pure cabernet franc wines anywhere.
Enjoy,
Grant
