Hey ,

Thibaud Boudignon makes some of our favorite chenin blanc in the Loire. The Bordeaux-born, Burgundy-trained winemaker set out on his own in 2009, and has since become one of the region’s unquestioned stars. His salty, fine-tuned chenin brings to mind another biodynamic icon in Anjou, Stéphane Bernaudeau. Along with Boudignon’s new releases from Anjou and Savennières, we have limited quantities of some back-vintage wines as well.

Salty, fresh, high-acid - there are very few wines better suited to warm-weather drinking than this electric chenin blanc from Boudignon.
Boudignon’s chenin develops beautifully with age. Try the ‘21, ‘23, and ‘24 Anjou Blanc in this discounted 3-pack.
This chenin, named for Thibaud’s mother, is only made in select vintages. It’s a particularly precise, concentrated wine from his best parcels in Anjou.
Savennières is a village in the Loire that gets a lot of sunshine. As a result, it yields particularly ripe and powerful expressions of chenin blanc. Compared to his bottling from the adjacent Clos de la Hutte vineyard, this is more floral and airy.
Clos de La Hutte is a tiny vineyard in the backyard of an abandoned monastery, just down the road from Nicolas Joly’s Coulée de Serrant. Chenin from this biodynamic site is palate-coating yet detailed and mineral-driven.
Enjoy,
Grant
