🇨🇴 ✨ Now Roasting: Colombia - El Faldón
El Faldón is one of our most cherished farm relationships. Rubén Dario Gómez produces immaculate coffee in the lush mountains above Caicedo, Antioquia, in northwestern Colombia.
Processed with a long and cool fermentation, this fully washed selection of the Bourbon and Chiroso varieties has incredible fruit complexity. Look for peach, orange, mango, pineapple, lime, and strawberry, rounded out by delicious panela and caramel notes.

🤝 💙 Partner Story: El Faldón
Check out an excerpt from our newest release's Partner Story, written by our Green Coffee Buyer, and click the link below to read the full story:
We first tasted coffee from Don Rubén in 2015 while visiting Pergamino, now our longtime suppliers in Colombia. His was an immediate standout on the cupping table, a coffee simply too good to direct to a bigger volume community lot. Since then, we have bought every subsequent harvest offered to us, totaling nearly 20 due to the biennial production cycle in this part of Colombia.
As a younger man, Rubén worked as a jornalero, or day laborer, traveling to farms all over Antioquia picking coffee and performing other manual work. After 20 years, he had finally saved enough money to buy a plot of land in an area called El Noque, near the town of Caicedo. Initially people cautioned him that coffee would not grow in this location - reaching 2,100 meters, the farm was thought to be too high and the climate too cold. And while these conditions can certainly pose a challenge for productivity, the quality of the coffee he planted proved to be spectacular...

‼️ ☕️ Important Note: North 6th Street Cafe
It is with great sadness that we share that our cafe on North 6th Street in Williamsburg must close after fifteen wonderful years. The final day of service at this location will be Sunday, September 27th.
We will long cherish the memories we’ve made alongside this beautiful community at our very first cafe, the one that started it all. Our Williamsburg roots will remain core to who we are as a brand. When we started roasting coffee, we could never have dreamed of collectively building such a hub of activity, creativity, and joy with each of you.
We are proud to continue to be a small, independently owned company, still roasting by hand and headquartered in Brooklyn. And although this marks the end of a very meaningful chapter for Partners Coffee, we’re incredibly grateful to remain a part of Williamsburg with our cafe at 145 Bedford Avenue, as well as our other cafes in Long Island City and the West Village.

📺 🐸 What We're Watching: Over the Garden Wall
Over the Garden Wall is a quirky miniseries from 2014. It's funny, mysterious, and wholesome (without being bland), and the illustration style is a stunning bonus.
I hope you watch or rewatch this series soon - it's the perfect show for Halloween and the overall fall season.

(Andrew here again! I'm putting some final touches on this email and saw that Rachel included this as her pick... and I just have to say DON'T SLEEP ON THIS SHOW! It's amazing.)
