Included is a highlight of Block Party, my favorite coffee to enjoy as a flash brew (if you need a go-to recipe, just reply to this email and I'll send one over). We're also sharing a reminder of our very first Exceptional Coffee release and brew guides to match.

🌈 ✨ Now Roasting: Block Party
Returning to our menu for its fourth year, Block Party is a celebration of the sunny days ahead. Intended to be enjoyed hot, iced, or cold brewed, it has a lively and refreshing flavor profile perfect for summer.
Across a range of brewing methods, you'll find notes of fresh berries, watermelon, and Pink Lady apple bathed in rich caramelized sugars. In cold brew preparations, expect a creamy body with pleasant flavors of nectarine, vanilla, and fudge pop.

🪩 🛼 Partner Story: Block Party
Check out an excerpt from our newest release's Partner Story, written by our Green Coffee Buyer, and click the link below to read the full story:
This magical variety originated near the town of Urrao, some 50 miles northwest of the city of Medellín. As the story goes, a farmer visiting from another town nearby noticed some unusually productive coffee plants with elongated fruits and seeds - curiously different from the caturra and bourbon commonly grown in the area. He brought seeds back to Urrao where the variety gradually became popular among farmers for its tolerance to the cold weather of the Penderisco Valley. Initially thought to be a mutation of caturra, it was nicknamed caturra chiroso (after Colombian slang implying something that is elongated or stretched out). Its flavor profile is outstandingly floral and fruity, especially when processed with a longer, cooler fermentation as is typical in Urrao.

🇭🇳 💛 ICYMI: Edin Lopez Gesha
In case you missed it - we've introduced a new series we refer to as Exceptional Coffee. This collection presents rare and limited availability coffees that are especially selected for their quality and distinctive character. These coffees work harmoniously within our relationship-based sourcing framework and are produced, sourced, and roasted for an exceptional experience.
The first coffee in this series, Edin Lopez Gesha, is now available (for a very limited time).
This stunning gesha comes to us from Edin Geovany Lopez of Santa Bárbara, Honduras, and was produced like a traditionally washed coffee, but sealed in barrels to reduce its exposure to ambient oxygen during the fermentation stage.
The result is an incredibly clean, round, syrupy coffee full of ripe summer fruit - we're tasting melon, strawberry, blackberry, peach, lime, and jasmine with a hint of caramel in the finish. This is a truly exceptional cup that we're delighted to share.
