👋 Hey there,

I don't know about you, but it's already been a busy August. Our team's been hard at work getting things all queued up for the (wait for it) holiday season. We have some really great updates (including new products) to share, many that I personally find very exciting. You can expect the first announcement of these updates later this month, with another following in September.

But that's all I can share for now; I'm sorry! Stay tuned to our emails and texts for more details.

🌞 🥤 Summer Recipe: Oatchata Latte

We're keeping cool with our favorite seasonal coffee recipes. This week, we're featuring the Oatchata Latte, a customer-favorite drink reminiscent of horchata. Oat milk, espresso, and warm cinnamon spice strike the perfect balance between smooth, sweet, and fun for a drink that's the perfect summer companion.

Oatchata Latte

Ingredients

Syrup Ingredients
- 75g white sugar
- 75g hot water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1g ground cinnamon
- 1g ground nutmeg
- 1g vanilla extract
Garnish Ingredients
- 25g white sugar
- 3g ground cinnamon
- 1g ground nutmeg
Drink Ingredients
- 30g Oatchata Syrup
- Double shot espresso
- 3/4 cup oat m*lk
- Garnish

Directions

Syrup Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat
2. Cook until sugar has completely dissolved, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning
3. Remove from heat and let cool completely
4. Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate until ready to use
Garnish Directions
- Add all garnish ingredients in a small bowl
- Stir until mixed thoroughly
- Transfer to a sealed container and store at room temperature until ready to use
Drink Directions
1. Combine prepared syrup and espresso, stirring to combine
2. Set espresso mixture aside
3. Fill serving glass with ice
4. Add milk
5. Top with espresso
6. Gently stir to combine
7. Garnish
8. Enjoy!

💙 🤝 Partner Highlight: Philips

We're always thrilled to work on new gear launches, so it was a pleasure to partner with Philips on their "House of Coffee" event this past June. Celebrating 70 years of Philips coffee and the release of their automatic brewer, the Aromis 8000, this popup provided guests a hands-on experience with the new machine and creating custom drinks, complete with treats from Fan Fan Doughnuts.

Big thanks to the teams at Philips and PopLab Marketing for bringing this event to life.

🇬🇷 ☕️ Blog Post: Athens Coffee Scene

I grew up visiting my grandparents on a large, but sparsely populated island in the Aegean. As I've gotten older, I've realized that Athens is more than a place to simply change planes - it's an incredible city that not only deserves its own stay, but requires it (at least in my opinion).

Otherwise, you risk missing out on so much more than just the Acropolis, or Plaka, or the Panathenaic Stadium. You risk not experiencing some of the most deeply rooted pieces of Greek culture. One of which is coffee.

To that end, I've put together some of my favorite shops in Athens for specialty coffee, cafe freddo, and frappes. I hope you have the chance to explore Athens and try some of these terrific cafes.

🇩🇰 🤘 What We're Listening To: Iceage - For Love Of Grace & The Hereafter

Right now I'm listening to a new album from the Danish punk rock band known as Iceage. It is chaotic and exciting and breaks some rules here and there and that is why I love it (and why you might also love it). The album is a bit dense and unrelenting as a result of its punk roots - so be prepared. Favorite songs on the record are Ember, No Fear & True Blue (in no order).

Hopefully you get carried away by it and you have an extra exciting work out or maybe a very energizing car ride. Enjoy 💜
