Budburst at Peccavi Estate Dear -,
We hope that you have been keeping safe and well despite the pandemic that is still affecting much of the country.
Life at the vineyard continues and Spring has finally sprung in WA, with warmer weather bringing budburst on the Peccavi vines, marking the start of the 2021 vintage. Next month we look forward to bottling the 2019 Peccavi 'Estate' Merlot, the 2019 Peccavi 'Estate' Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2020 No Regrets Cabernet Merlot.
In other news, our 2017 Peccavi Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded joint second, with 95 points, at the recent 2020 James Halliday Cabernet Challenge - a fantastic result and amongst great company with the other Gold medal winners.
The 2017 vintage has equal parts of clones 191 and 337 with 4.5% each of Merlot and Petit Verdot, that creates a full to medium bodied wine that's smooth and silky with cassis and dried herbs. A truly superb wine!

Peccavi Wines Webinar
We recently had the pleasure of participating in a webinar with Richard Hemming MW for a new private members' club in Singapore for wine lovers: 67 Pall Mall. Many of you will be familiar with the original venue in St. James, London, and their passion for sharing the world's finest wines.
In the session, Jeremy Muller, founder of Peccavi Wines shares the history of the vineyard, why Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are such great varieties from Margaret River and how they have defined this renowned wine region.
If you have yet to try these two superb wines they are currently available on the website, so that you can join in the virtual tasting and savour these award-winning wines at home.

Showing hints of truffle-like notes, the 2017 Peccavi Chardonnay is medium to full bodied, has a bright colour and boasts notes of toasty oak, vanilla and tangerines. The palate is rich, toasty and loaded with sweet fruits, finishing with a distinctly nutty conclusion.
Robert Parker - 91 points Peccavi Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Pristine, deeply perfumed, scented with cassis, dark plums, smoky mocha oak, dried herbs and a hint of mint. Ultra polished and refined, full to medium in weight, this wine delivers an effortless length of artfully balanced dark fruits, tight-grained oak and fine, gravelly tannins. This Bordeaux style is fresh with a dry well balanced finish. Superb, sophisticated and savoury.
Jeremy Oliver - 96 points
