Dear Pen Family,
What a wonderful weekend we had hosting Zek Pens and Zeki Karaca from Turkey!
Hüseyin has become a good friend over the years, and it was such a pleasure introducing him and his beautiful work to our local customers. The two-day event was filled with great conversations, incredible craftsmanship, and wonderful support from our community. Many of you had the opportunity to see the stunning 2,000-year-old Turkish art of Tezhip up close, beautifully hand-painted by Hüseyin and his sisters. We'll soon be adding a selection of these unique pens to our website, and I think you'll love them.
We also had Naz, daughter of master craftsman Zeki Karaca, showcasing exquisite bespoke Turkish craftsmanship , including beautifully designed pens and handcrafted pen related jewelry, even a stunning nib pin with tiny diamond on the heart! These unique pieces will soon be available both in our store and on our website.
Meanwhile, the excitement at Pen Boutique continues to build because Hobonichi2027 is almost here! The best news? Our shipment arrived without any customs delays this year, so our team has been busy unpacking boxes and getting everything ready.
For the very first time, we're hosting a Hobonichi Launch Party in our newly expanded Ink & Stationery space. Starting next week, the area will transform into a Hobonichi preview gallery, and on August 31st from 8:30 PM – 12:00 AM, we'll open our doors for an evening dedicated to fellow Hobonichi fans.
We'll have some desserts, snacks, soft drinks, a surprise goodie bag, and plenty of time to mingle while previewing the new collection together and talking about Hobonichi and pen stories. Then, at 10:00 PM,we'll line up to get our favorite Hobonichi release in person. Since this is a ticketed event, be sure to reserve your spot if you'd like to join us.
I'm especially excited because this is the first evening event we've ever hosted at Pen Boutique. Watching the Hobonichi community grow over the years has been incredible, and I can't wait to celebrate this launch together.
