Dear Pen Family,
This week, my heart is a little heavy.
Many of you have reached out and asked about the devastating flash floods in Nepal, and I truly appreciate your concern. Thankfully, my family and friends are safe, but my heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
Nepal has endured so many natural disasters and hardships over the years, and just when communities begin to rebuild, another tragedy seems to come along. The hardest part is seeing innocent lives lost and families suddenly having their lives turned upside down. Yesterday, I spent much of the day anxious and saddened by the news while reaching out to family and friends back home.
Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers, including the many international visitors who were caught in this tragedy. Nepal is a beautiful country filled with resilient people, and I hope once again they find the strength to recover.
At Pen Boutique, it has also been an incredibly busy week with several new launches and preparations for our first Hobonichi 2027 Launch Party.
I honestly did not know what to expect when we announced this event, but the response was amazing. Tickets sold out very quickly, and many of you have reached out asking if we can add more spots. Unfortunately, we are already above the number we originally planned for, so we simply cannot accommodate anyone else this time.
This is our first Hobonichi launch event for our local stationery community, and you have certainly shown us that we need to think much bigger next year! We are excited (and a little nervous!) to host everyone Monday night and make it a fun evening for our Hobonichi lovers. Our Team is working hard to make this a memorable one!!
Thank you, as always, for your kindness, your messages, and for being part of our Pen Boutique family.
KEEP WRITING.
sincerely,
Leena
