I hope you all had a wonderful long Labor Day weekend!
For us, the break was very much needed after the excitement of the Hobonichi launch and the incredible influx of orders. I spent the weekend on our annual camping trip with friends at Lake Anna —something I always look forward to. Many of you know how much I love being outdoors and connecting with nature, and this time I think I needed it even more.
A couple of our friends on the trip were also Nepalese, and naturally we talked a lot about what has been happening back home. We shared our worries, talked through our emotions, and in some ways comforted one another about the devastating floods. Being surrounded by friends and nature gave me a chance to decompress after an emotional few weeks.
As I mentioned last week, Pen Boutique is continuing to donate 5% of our sales this week to the Nepal Flood Relief Fund. I will also share more details soon about what we have been able to send so far. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and, through your purchases, helped us contribute.
And now... back to reality at Pen Boutique! :)
Our team is working hard to catch up with all the Labor Day weekend orders, so our packing area is once again very busy. We're also seeing some delays with USPS as they catch up after the holiday weekend. If your tracking takes a little longer than usual to update, please don't worry—it may simply need a little extra time to enter their system and start moving.
