And maybe it’s just me, but this moment feels different from what’s come before. I can be too optimistic at times, and maybe we are just in the eye of the hurricane, but it just feels like finally the weight of all the hate, and cruelty, and corruption that have been driving the Republican Party for so long have, in this moment, become too much.
They will regroup no doubt, but in this moment, thanks to the sacrifice of the the people of greater Minneapolis and so many other communities across the country, we are getting the chance to see Republicans in retreat. It’s a good sight and so hopeful for the future of America.
