So much of what’s gone on in Washington has been designed to make you feel powerless.
But Friend, over the last year and a half, I’ve visited more than 30 states – mostly so-called “red states” and swing districts. And what I can tell you is that people, no matter who they voted for in 2024, or what party they’re registered under, are hungry for change.
Our political system is set up to sow just the kind of division we’re all feeling right now. The kind that makes your blood boil every time you scroll through your feed or turn on the TV.
But what I’ve learned on the road is that there is a truly remarkable majority of Americans who agree on the biggest issues facing our country: affordable healthcare, protecting Social Security and Medicare, lowering the cost of gas and groceries.
The hard part isn’t convincing Americans we need to change. Most of us agree on that.
The challenge ahead of us in the next 86 days between now and Election Day is building a majority when we’re working within a political system that has so much money and outside influence flowing through it to make it harder to do the right thing.
Friend, that can’t stop us. I’m continuing to show up in communities large and small, helping candidates connect with the voters who'll decide their races, bringing attention to contests that deserve it, and making the case for a politics built on service, belonging, and opportunity instead of fear and chaos.
We still have a lot of ground to cover between now and November 3rd. In the limited time we have left, I hope you’ll fuel this important work and help us deliver results for leaders ready to usher in a new era of politics by chipping in what you can today.
