New from Wētā Workshop to pre-order now is The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Sméagol & Déagol: A Shadow of the Past 1:6 Scale Statue.  Wētā Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. 

There is a subtle importance to the moment depicted, a fragile balance poised on the edge of change. Sméagol & Déagol: A Shadow of The Past captures that fleeting breath before fate takes hold, while the river still carries laughter and the world remains unbroken.

This new 1:6 scale, limited edition statue depicts Sméagol and Déagol at the turning point of their story. The dual-layer diorama depicts the scene above and below the river’s surface, and contains The One Ring hidden below, anchoring the story’s tension.  Inspired by techniques developed in the Masters Collection: The Dead Marshes, this new piece was crafted to reward close inspection, with layered storytelling revealed from every angle.

For collectors, this piece offers something distinct. A narrative told in layers, a technical execution that invites closer inspection, and a subject that carries deep significance.
