What makes BALANCE-TEC different from other convertible bikes?

We started with a true pedal bike, and then designed a system to remove the drivetrain without the need for specialized bike tools.

Older convertible bike systems start as balance bikes, and the drivetrain bolts to the frame as a separate unit to make a pedal bike. This type of system adds weight and complexity to the pedal bike.

Compared to older systems, the BALANCE-TEC system has no compromises as a pedal bike. There is no sacrifice to strength, weight, or performance.

People with bike mechanic knowledge and access to specialized bike tools have always converted pedal bikes to balance bikes. BALANCE-TEC enables that kind of conversion without special tools or mechanical knowledge.

Because of this unique design BALANCE-TEC bikes allow all parents to give their kids the benefits of a pedal bike converted to a balance bike. Children can learn balance on a bike with full pedal bike features like front and rear hydraulic disc brakes. And since they will learn balance on the same bike they will pedal on, the transition to pedals is easier.
