As you know, I believe that the world order is changing as a result of timeless and universal forces that shape how nations typically (but not necessarily) rise and fall over time. These forces can be monitored, and their progression gives me a template to compare with what is actually happening, which gives me an edge for anticipating what is likely to happen. By and large, events are transpiring along the lines of my Big Cycle template.
Most recently, after talking with a number of countries' leaders during my recent travels in Asia, I see that most now believe that a big shift in the world order is taking place with China gaining in relative geopolitical, economic, and financial strength. Given this, I wanted to share some thoughts about how I think China will act in its new position.
