15 Trade Candidates Heading into Training Camp

The NFL transaction frenzy has finally cooled after an active February-May stretch that reshaped rosters across the league. But don't get comfortable. With OTAs underway and training camps on deck, front offices are about to start trimming rosters to match what coaches actually want on the field, and that means another wave of trades is coming.

At the top of the watch list is A.J. Brown. The former All-Pro has been the offseason's elephant in the room, and with his dead cap dropping just over $16 million after June 1, a move looks increasingly likely. Brown's 2025 tape backed up the noise too. His 1.96 yards per route run marked a career-low, and the Eagles' draft and trade moves at receiver point to a team preparing for life without him.

Highest-Graded QBs vs. Every Coverage Scheme

Elite NFL quarterbacks see every coverage imaginable, but skill sets still dictate which looks they feast on. Seam attackers tend to thrive against Cover 3. Underneath operators welcome Quarters. And deep-ball artists with elite receivers don't mind a steady diet of Cover 1.

Using PFF data from the 2025 season, we identified the quarterbacks who posted the highest passing grades against each of the league's primary coverage structures. Leading the way: Jordan Love, who shredded single-high and all-out blitz looks alike. The Packers signal-caller registered identical 92.2 PFF passing grades against both Cover 0 and Cover 1, and topped the league with nine touchdowns and zero sacks when defenses sent the house.

Three Teams That Could Take a Step Back

The NFL offseason breeds optimism, but every year a handful of contenders trend the wrong way. Last season it was the Chiefs and Commanders crashing from conference title games to six-win seasons.
