🔥 Our Take: A privacy policy is a promise you have to take on faith. This is a constraint Chrome enforces at the browser level, checkable by anyone in ten seconds, not a claim anyone has to trust. That's a genuinely better standard than "trust us," and it should be the bar a recording tool has to clear, not a bragging right one free extension gets to have alone.

Karve is a native Windows API client from a solo developer with 14 years in .NET, whose own API requests were already scattered across a dozen repos as plain .http files with no real workspace to work with them together, just a slow runner buried inside whatever editor was open.

🔥 Our Take: Postman's whole model is your requests living in their cloud. Karve's is the opposite, files stay on disk, and the MCP server it ships only ever hands Claude Code the raw request text with placeholders in it, never a resolved secret or environment value. That's a harder version of bolting AI onto a dev tool than a cloud-synced client has to build, and a $30 one-time Windows app doing it that way is a real bet against where the rest of the category is headed.

AirProof AI runs that exact simulation in seconds off a model instead of the finite-element software an HVAC firm would actually use on a real building. Physics simulation just got cheap enough to point at questions too small for anyone to ever pay an engineer to answer, and purifier placement is a strange thing for that to hit first, the next one of these probably isn't about air.
