Jordan Mason and the Nine Other Sleepers Worth Targeting This Year

We are eight days from the start of the NFL season, and for any draft you have left, you want the most current information available. I have been writing about sleepers for months, but that list has constantly evolved as new information drives new rankings and shifting ADPs move the bar for who counts as a sleeper. One name has survived every revision: Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason.

Since 2022, Mason ranks third among running backs with at least 300 carries in yards per carry, yards after contact per carry and first down or touchdown rate. He is the only back in that group to post a positive grade on more than half his runs, making him one of the most efficient runners in the league. Mason averaged 14.5 PPR points per game across his four starts with Minnesota last season, and with Aaron Jones now 31 and having missed at least five games in two of the last three years, Mason is likely to handle the primary role for some stretch of 2026.

A healthier offensive line and the addition of Kyler Murray should push the Vikings from 26th in scoring toward the top half of the league, which would reach Mason directly through goal-line work and fourth-quarter carries. He is one of the top handcuffs in fantasy drafts, with real standalone value even if Jones stays healthy. Mason is a great option around the ninth or tenth round in 12 team leagues.
