Who to Add, Drop, Buy Low and Sell High Ahead of Week 2

Today is the biggest day of the season to make roster moves in your league. Several rookies played better than expected and are available on the waiver wire. It's just as important to make sure you're dropping the right players and not giving up on someone too early. It's also the perfect time to make trades, since some managers are overreacting to Week 1 while others aren't reacting enough.

That's why my 5 players to add, 5 to drop, 5 to buy low and 5 to sell high article exists: to help you navigate those moves. I've also updated my rest-of-season rankings, so you can see how I value players relative to each other.

Two of the players I would prioritize adding are rookie receivers Denzel Boston and Caleb Douglas. Both ranked among the top 12 wide receivers in first-read target rate this week. They also dominated playing time on offense and have a chance to finish the season as their teams' leaders in receiving yards. While both offenses are expected to be below average this season, rookie wide receivers can still have dominant fantasy value on weaker offenses. Tetairoa McMillan and Emeka Egbuka finished as top-24 fantasy wide receivers last season even though their offenses were below average in points scored. Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. did the same the season before. There's no guarantee Boston or Douglas will match that success, but they're worth a roster spot over a veteran with less upside.

You can also use the waiver wire tool to see the top waiver wire options specific to your league. In some leagues, even better options may be waiting for you. In others, those two may already be taken, but other options are likely available.
