Week 1 Start/Sit: My Takes on the Hardest Lineup Calls of the Week

We have finally made it to the NFL regular season, with the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks kicking things off tonight. That means it's time to go through your leagues and set your lineups.

To help, I've brought back the start/sit article. Unlike most start/sit pieces, which list some players to start and some to sit, I go through the most borderline players and share my thoughts. Every league size is different, and some players are a start in one league and a sit in another. Most of the players people actually care about sit in that grey area. Every week, I'll be asking on Bluesky and X which players you're least confident about, and I'll write about the ones mentioned most.

One player I'm more confident in starting now than I would have been a week ago is Malik Nabers. The New York Giants released Darius Slayton on Monday. Slayton was training as Nabers' direct backup in the preseason, so cutting him strongly suggests the Giants believe Nabers is ready. New York also has a favorable matchup against the Dallas Cowboys' secondary.
