Hi friend,
Before I get into the mistakes, I want to share some exciting news—the Jasmine Mist is BACK! This time, we’ve paired it with two new offerings: Saffron + Neroli and Rose, designed to keep your skin cool and hydrated all summer long. Don’t miss out on this stunning set: HERE
Top 5 Mistakes I’ve Made in Business:
1. Ignoring my inner voice.
When I look back and analyze my mistakes and failures, I realize I ignored an internal sign along the way. I truly believe our intuition can be trained like a muscle—we just need to pay attention to that inner voice time and time again. If you do this, it will become your superpower.
2. Not knowing the difference between being busy and being productive.
I’m the type of person who locks in and wants to cross things off my list. But I’ve realized this is a terrible way to work. I used to clear my inbox first thing in the morning instead of tackling an important task that would truly benefit the business. Save the tedious stuff for the afternoon and dig into the juicy problems that move the needle.
3. Thinking “simple” and “basic” are the same thing.
When I first started RANAVAT, the Jasmine Mist was one of my favorite products. The fresh jasmine is handpicked and freshly distilled into a stunning one-ingredient hydrosol. I discontinued it because I thought it wasn’t innovative enough. After countless messages to bring it back, I finally realized: simple and basic are not the same thing. The otherworldly scent these jasmine flowers produce is nothing short of amazing—and this single ingredient is better than a hundred mediocre ones.
4. Letting the business run me.
I’ve shared this before, but one Thanksgiving I completely missed out on being present with my family because I was too mentally distracted by a work issue. I may only have a few of these holidays left with them, and I still regret letting work steal that moment. Please don’t make this mistake.

5. Not Cleaning My Car
In building phase I got sloppy. Kris Jenner once said she was tempted to peek into the cars of people she was interviewing because a clean car reflects organizational skills and discipline. I don’t claim to be an expert here—but I will tell you: the way you present yourself to the world makes a difference. Investing in yourself—whether it’s going to the gym or taking care of your skin—builds self-respect and the confidence to do hard things.
