The popular Suomi Dining Collection pays homage to the homeland of Helsinki-born designer Timo Sarpaneva. The organic, natural shape is reminiscent of the round pebbles found on Finland’s coastlines and riverbanks. Designed in the 1970s, they are more than just retro – they are elegant eye-catchers on today’s dining table too.
Designer, sculptor, teacher, visionary – Timo Sarpaneva (1926–2006) is regarded as one of the most influential Finnish artists of the 20th century and gained international recognition particularly for his work in glass, ceramics and metal.
