Hi -

It’s Saturday 23 May, and we’re loving seeing butterflies fluttering around our local green spaces. There's a world of wonder in the smallest moments. This week:

You’re invited: Wonder, Loss and Action lobby

Here at the RSPB, we know the power of telling stories. Poetry, photography, film, art – they can be a catalyst for change. That’s why we’re excited about Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris’s new The Book of Birds: a Field Guide to Wonder and Loss.

Inspired by their book, we’re asking you to share your stories to help make a difference for nature. The UK’s bird species are in serious decline, but our politicians could rewrite their fate. Join us at the Wonder, Loss and Action lobby on 24 June, where you can share your connection to nature and your vision for the future with your MP.

Diary of a nature-friendly farmer

Meet Georgie, the manager at our nature-friendly farm in Cambridgeshire: RSPB Hope Farm. Here, Georgie’s team are turning the RSPB’s world-leading science into action, showing how arable farming can work for nature on-the-ground. In this diary entry, she’s sharing the team's latest news, explaining how they’re caring for crops and welcoming the return of spring migrant birds.
