Hello -

A powerful new book, The Book of Birds: A Field Guide to Wonder and Loss, by artist and writer duo Jackie Morris and Robert Macfarlane, tells the story of birds in the UK – their beauty, their decline, and why they need our help now more than ever.

It reminds us that ‘a great thinning of the skies is underway’. But together, we can help refill them.

To bring this message to MPs, we’re gathering in Westminster – and we’d love you to be there.

Join us on 24 June to meet your MP and speak up for birds and nature.

Face-to-face conversations like these are one of the most powerful ways to drive change, but it takes people power to get our point across. Your support will make a huge difference, and we’ll be with you every step of the way.

Taking part is simple

1. Sign up to attend.

2. Send a pre-written email to your MP letting them know you’re coming.

3. Join us on 24 June for an inspiring day of Wonder, Loss and Action.

And while you’re there...

Come and see us at Methodist Central Hall, just a five-minute walk from Parliament, to celebrate The Book of Birds and all things nature in great company.

Hear from The Book of Birds creators Jackie and Robert, plus RSPB ambassadors Nadeem Perera and Lucy Lapwing, and science communicator Sophie Pavelle.
Discover more ways to take action for nature with the RSPB.
Contribute to a crowd-created artwork.
Join a guided bird walk in St James’s Park.
Connect with like-minded nature lovers and be part of our community!

Together, we can rewrite the fate of our birds and make sure they remain more than just memories on a page.

Together we fly.
