Originally founded in 1830 as a brush manufacturer serving the steel and coal sector, we expanded our offerings after the war to include lorry covers, tarpaulins, and canvas-based products.

Rotherham College, impressed by our quality, approached the company to craft knife wallets for its staff and students. The exceptional response to these wallets led the college to ask us to also provide the knives, marking the beginning of our journey in supplying the esteemed hospitality and catering industries.

Today, Russums is synonymous with excellence in these sectors.

We are a sixth generation family business, independently owned and still run today by the Russum family in the heart of Yorkshire.

The business is now established as a leading multi-channel supplier of catering clothing and equipment and remains true to the principles of our founder Edward Russum.
