Originally from Venice Beach, CA, Christian took the skateboarding world by storm, skating with a style and flair all his own and redefining not only what it meant to be a skater but the way tricks should be done. Inventing signature tricks such as the Christ Air and Rocket Air, he quickly become one of skateboarding’s most admired pros by the early 1980s. In 1984 he designed one of the most iconic skateboard shapes of all time, the Hosoi Hammerhead, to this day it represents not only Christian’s influential impact on the skate industry but also the unique individuals and creativity that drives our culture. In 2011, Transworld Skateboarding Magazine listed Christian as the 4th most influential skateboarder of all time and to this day he remains one of the all-time great ambassadors of skateboarding and style.
