OPP canceled?

I'm writing this from a Starbucks around 20 minutes from my house because our entire town lost power from a storm last night.

Family is safe--so all is good.

The plan is to go live with the first class of OPP tomorrow (Monday) assuming power is restored. I'm confident the Monday class won't have to be canceled tomorrow and pushed to Tuesday.

Ahhh... the life of a solopreneur.

You gotta be flexible. Roll with the punches.

Even the most simple business will have ups and downs.

Roadblocks happen.

Sometimes it's internal.

Sometimes it's out of your control.

But rather than freak out or put your head in the sand--you keep moving forward.

For example, today is the last day of my "tape wars" promotion for my 80s list.

It's a 2-week tournament pitting song against song.

Everything was leading up today--and I lost power.

Yikes!

Deep breath, drove to the next town, grabbed my phone and recorded a video while walking in a shopping center.

23 seconds.

0 excuses.

Already has thousands of views in less than 30 minutes...

It could have easily just been a voice over too.

My point is showing up ain't half the battle--it's 99% of the battle.

Because so few ever show up at all... let alone every day.

They're overthinking. Procrastinating. Suffering from perfectionism.

But you?

You wanna succeed? Just put your head down and get to work.

Keep it simple.

Heck, doesn't even matter if your entire town is in a blackout.
