Good Morning Sabah People,
A couple of weeks ago, we traveled from New York to El Paso to visit the Sabah Workshop.
We arrived just as production of our latest Wovens Collection was in full swing.
Every pair begins with an extraordinary hand-woven leather crafted by artisans in Chennai, India, before traveling halfway around the world to Texas, where our team cuts, folds, pulls, presses, stitches, and carefully shapes each panel of leather into a finished pair of Babas.
The overwhelming feeling in that small, but mighty workshop is pride. From the cutting room to the lasting table, our shoemakers were eager to share every step of the process, and we were there to document it all.
Making a pair of Woven Babas takes time - several days & many sets of hands from start to finish, and our El Paso team spent much of July preparing this latest release, which becomes available on Sunday.
Before then, we take you behind the scenes in El Paso in the latest edition of the Sabah Journal. Enjoy!
Sincerely,
The Sabah Dealer
