At the centre of Pausa is a process shaped by meditation and biometric capture. During meditative states oriented around three internal movements, renunciation, encounter, and expansion, the artist’s brainwaves are recorded and used as the latent structure for image generation. The resulting works are not conventionally designed, but emerge through the interaction between biological signal, generative systems, and intuitive response. Suspended forms, evolving textures, and fluid morphologies unfold slowly across immersive visual fields, carrying the imprint of emotional and neurological states translated into digital matter.
Rather than illustrating meditation, Pausa attempts to hold the sensation of a moment before language. Motion unfolds continuously but without spectacle, creating works that reward sustained attention and immersive viewing. Organic structures appear to emerge, stabilise, and dissolve within shared spatial environments, existing somewhere between memory, perception, and abstraction. The collection reflects SARES’ ongoing interest in the precise instant where chaos meets the present - a silent pause between what was and what will be.
